My Grandma

My grandmother, Carol Foiles, passed away on New Years Eve. I decided to do a little tribute to her on our blog.

These are some of the things I will always remember when I think about my Grandmother:
- Playing the card game Old Maid with her and neither of us could keep from giggling when we had it in our hand
- Eating Finger Jello Eggs
- Sending me articles on the migration of swallows which take place every year on March 19th, my birthday.
- All the little things she made me, a quiet book, quillows and blankets
- How her face would light up when ever she saw me
- Her love for music
- Her love for the Lord

My Grandmother graduated with a degree in music education from Dakota Wesleyan in 1955. She was the choir director in her church for almost 40 years! The thought that she is now in a heavenly choir singing praises to the Lord makes me smile.

Jennie,
What a touching tribute to your grandma! I pray that Ella will have the same type of warm, loving memories of me in the years to come.
Love,
Roseann
